Historic Kyiv, wartime Kyiv, and the residential streets where Russian drones land — in a single day.
This five to six hour tour does something no standard itinerary does: it puts the Kyiv that has existed for a thousand years next to the Kyiv that exists right now, at war, and lets you see how the two fit together.
You see the landmarks first — the monuments, the cathedrals, the streets of a city with one of the longest living memories in Europe. Kyiv was old when most European capitals were villages, and that depth is the reason the city reads the present the way it does.
Then the tour crosses to the eastern bank of the Dnipro, which almost no visitor sees, and shows you the aftermath of Russian bombardment on ordinary residential neighbourhoods.
The weapon in question is the Shahed-136, an Iranian-designed drone used against civilian infrastructure. It is slow, cheap, loud and lethal. You will learn why it became one of the greatest threats to civilian life in this war, and you will see what it does to apartment blocks and to the streets where families live.
This is not on any standard tourist route and it is not comfortable. It is, however, what is actually happening, which is the point of coming.

Is this a normal sightseeing tour of Kyiv?
It covers the landmarks a good city tour should, and then goes where a city tour does not. If you want the cathedrals and nothing else, say so when booking and the route will be adjusted. If you want to understand the city as it is living now, this is built for that.Why cross to the east bank?
Because that is where a large share of Kyiv actually lives, and where drone and missile strikes have hit residential blocks. The west-bank historic centre alone gives a misleading picture of the city.Is it safe to walk around Kyiv?

English, German and French, all at native-level fluency. No interpreter stands between you and the guide: the commentary is in your language from the first stop to the last.What happens if an air alarm sounds?
We follow official shelter protocols, calmly. Your guide knows the nearest shelter for every location on the route. We pause, wait for the all-clear, and continue. Daytime alarms are infrequent, and Kyiv residents handle them routinely.How do I pay?
